SAFER GRANTS ARE HERE. I just got my notification in the past 2 hours. (been at a structure fire so I could not check every 10 minutes like normal)

Tuition reimbursement, furniture and TV for a lounge area, coats and gimmes for firefighters, Firefighter I and II classes. EMS First responder classes. Recruiting hotline. LED sign at our station.

I have had the update 1199a for a while now, done the update, got an email back stating that it was accepted. Today however the official letter came in the mail that is checked when you log on.

We also got congress critter call on Wednesday of this week.

I logged into the grant site - nothing for us for Safer yet

We received an email from FEMA today with 11 questions regarding the SAFER grant.

Still keeping our fingers crossed!

We recieved the 11 or 12 questions today! We also recieved the AFG questions for THC and pagers last week! I am getting excited! We are having open house at our fire house on Sunday Oct 8th. I think we are going to have a GREAEEEEEEEEEEET time!
