  • AFG 1199As going out

For those that have been awarded before, check the old 1199A for the 2006 number. For those not awarded before, check the dropdown for an Update 1199A link. Follow the directions and get that paperwork signed and up to DC.

Congrats to all on the road to awards now, and good luck to those still in the hunt.

Not yet, the 1199A has become more of the first step than the questions in recent years. They should be following shortly.

So... I log into my grant application page.

I just check the drop down box for the '06 grant?

And if it only has the "View Grant" and "Grant/Revoke Access" is that bad?

Just got home from the station at around 2345, decided to check my e-mail before bed. Received e-mail from Brian about 1199A info appearing so I went to the firegrantsupport.com site and lo and behold my 2004 1199 info had a 2006 number on it.

Checked here for other posts for a few minutes, then went back to the AFG website just to look again and my 2004 number was back on display.

At first my mouth just dropped open in disbelief, but then I clicked on the 2006 box and was suprised to see an update 1199A box appear. This was a few minutes after midnight. So I guess things are really starting to move fast.

For the second time this year my thanks go out to Brian for his help and to everyone on this board for all of the valuable and up to date info.

                  Last Legislative Hurdle Cleared

The last legislative hurdle, that has been holding up the 2006 AFG Award process, was officially cleared this morning with this posting in the Federal Registry.

This is the "beast" that has been keeeping things tied up for the past month and keeping everyone on pins and needles. 10q's and 1199a updates should start flowing like Niagra Falls duringthe next week for a first round awrad announcement before September 30 ( pessimistically guessing here folks). Start checking your email daily and especialy on Wednesdays adn Fridays, traditionally the days that DHS sends or posts the new requests for more information out. Answer your emails promptly without delay.Let the games officially begin folks. Ready, set, go!

                    Heretic,

It's early on in the process, so it's not a bad sign. If you have not won an award previously that is where you will be looking for the "Update 1199A" in the drop down menu.

If you won an award previously, you need to go to that award to view the 1199A. Ex. you recieved an award in 2004, you must go to that grant and find "View 1199A" in the drop down menu. This is where you will find a reference number for 2006.

I may be getting too excited ?

I got in our drop dowm menu "Update 1199A"

Is this a sign of good things to come for me ?

I never received a grant before. We were 0 for 5 going in to 2006. We never got this 1199A form before.

I am just wondering, hearing from other local winners in years past, When you get the 1199A form to file you are going to get the award ?
