Congratulations Steve!!!!! Ours is unchanged, and i hadn't even been there since last Friday morning--so now it's back to the daily grind.
dstern--when you log in, go to the first application you ever had awarded, choose "View 1199A" from the drop down box. Look at the award number and see is your 2006 number is listed there. Not a guarantee, but an extremely positive indicator. Extremely positive.
(Edit to add)
Steve--what was the time frame during which the 1199 was updated? Can you peg a date or time frame that yours changed?

Sounds like to me...
IT'S ON!!
Good luck, fellow grant nuts! Here's wishing we could all be funded!“I am more than just a serious basketball fan. I am a life-long addict. I was addicted from birth, in fact, because I was born in Kentucky.”

That may work, but the first year applications are not on the
web - so as I have only got a grant the first year, is there any other
way to check?

No, it's only through the web on that indicator. Here's hoping more people start to find the new numbers on the 1199A, as well as a pile of folks finding an 1199A that never had one before. 1st time awards are always nice. Congrats K3.Brian P. Vickers

Good point, LVFD. If you have never received a grant since the electronic ONLY process went in for 2002, I would say the 1199a link would appear on your 2006.
You should also haunt the e-mail account of the primary contact for the app, as the 10 questions (or however many) may come first.
Remember the AFG haiku for this early information:
Deposit form link
Or ten questions on e-mail
Without a time frame.
There's a limerick, too
I received the ten questions today
And answered quick what they did say
While my friend got the link
And answered quick as a wink
And our apps got awards the same day!“I am more than just a serious basketball fan. I am a life-long addict. I was addicted from birth, in fact, because I was born in Kentucky.”

I was just informed that someone found a SAFER # on their 1199A. Looks like more than just AFG is rolling along....Brian P. Vickers

Should I assume that since I don't have an updated number on my 1199A that we're not getting an award this year either, or does that just mean we're not in the first round?
Still the 2003 number for me

Keep your shirt on! This just means...nothing. You may yet be in the first (or any other) round. You may yet be in no round. There is no set order for which comes first, 1199a or ten questions, nor for how long elapses between 'em.
Lots, lots, lots of time yet.“I am more than just a serious basketball fan. I am a life-long addict. I was addicted from birth, in fact, because I was born in Kentucky.”
