Where do you think we stand now?

We got a call from FEMA this week, asking for clarification on some of the equipment we have requested. We submitted the requested information, and were told by that individual (who described himself as a firefighter, and everyone above him in the chain was a "pencil pusher") that he was passing along our application to the "big boss". Is this a good thing ? Anyone out there had the same type of interaction with the FEMA guys yet? Is this where we should call out congressmen/senators for a little friendly leverage? We are still holding our breath.

It has been over a month, and still nothing. Anyone got any ideas. We are almost apnec and pulseless from holding our breath.....

We were asked for similar clarification on our request. I think that primarily it was that a price that we had was thought to be too high for SCBA. After we replied, it took then a week to get back to us about some proposed changes they wanted me to accept. After we accepted, which reduced our total award, they updated our application on the status portion of the webpage. We were awarded later on. It did seem like forever with our breath held though. I would take a fresh breath and hold for a little longer.

We got the 1199A on 10/06 and the 7 questions on 10/25 in which they asked us to itemize our SCBA and additional face mask request. Have not heard a thing from FEMA since.

Why are they calling departments instead of using email?

They called to ask what were we going to do with the number of radios we asked for, and to make sure we were not using the money to build a radio tower. we still haven't seen the 6,7 or 8 questions, and no activity on our application status page of the website.
