Scott AP50 Prices for Grant?

With our 2003 grant we are buying 10 new air-paks and 16 extra cylinders. Has anyone checked into prices? We are looking at 45 min bottles. I'd like to know what prices are being quoted out there.

We got prices over the last 60 days on 30 minute packs, so 45 should be a few $$ higher. We were quoted a price of $3050. Fully loaded, including a fair trade in. Without the trade, figure $500 more.

Scott 50, 60 min. cylinder, HUD, we were quoted $4,354, spare cylinders are $ 995.00, no trade.

Didn't you price before you wrote your grant? If so, go by those prices but be prepared to add a percentage due to manufacturer price increases unless you budgeted for those.

If you did not price before you wrote, do it next time. It will save headaches.

Of course I received prices before we applied. But, it seems like prices are coming down. Some of our sales reps have been giving us better prices than we were originally quoted. I was just curious to see how differant they were in other parts of the country.

Decrease in prices always helps! BTW, I was not trying to insinuate anything, but it seems like a lot of people just pulled figures out of the air, and are now scrambling to make sure they budgeted enough money.

We had a manuf. price decrease of $1,000 that really helped us out. It enabled us to purchase a set of IFSTA manuals that we had not thought about originally. Other prices dropped or we got better deals OR they actually went up more than we thought. BUt, so far, we have come out about 5% ahead.

State Contract Price

In NJ, we have State Contract pricing for AP50 with 60 min @ approx $3500 per. This is what I used as my number in the request.
