1199A form

Has anyone recieved the 1199a link before getting the questions from FEMA? We have recieved the 1199 but no questions yet. What is the chances based on everyones experience here on the boards?

The same. You don't get either unless there's gold in them thar hills. The link is automated, the questions are sent by a grants specialist. So of course the process involving the human isn't always consistent as we have more to do than just sit and spin. Sometimes. You'll probably be getting the questions in the next week or two. Public announcement is usually 2-3 weeks after the 1199A link, so somewhere as early as next week you'd get the questions.

I haven't jinxed anyone yet by saying this after just getting questions or links so here goes: Congratulations. Warm up the ordering phone.

Thanks BC79er that was what I was hoping to hear. Anyword on your grant yet?

Nope. Made it through into peer review so at least got as far as I wanted to without being disappointed. I had guessed early on that if we are even in line we won't hear until later in the game for one reason or another. I haven't lost sleep over it. As I said, I'm not greedy. We got a truck last year so I'll live with 1 for 3.

This year things happened a little differently for us.
Thursday 9/25: email with a change in funding by the reviewing people
Friday 9/26: Seven questions
Wednesday 10/1: Phone call from Senator's office with congratulatory "phone handshake"
Thursday 10/2: Announcement in Round 17

No 1199 link yet but the check book is opened and ready!

First came 7 questions from grant specialist number 1, I didnt get a first notice, it said second notice.

Then came 1199A, sent off next day after a trip to the bank.

Then came 8 questions from grant specialist number 2 (different specialist then number 1). Sent off same day.

At first I thought the second set of questions might be for one of my other departments (did 3 grants this year) but I was dissapointed, a bit confused, and then a bit worried when I figured out it was still deptment 1 getting a second set of questions.

I cant get through to grant specialist 1 or 2 by email or phone.

I am often the paranoid sort, right now I am very paranoid!

we got the questions last monday, then i checked the site and found the link for the 1199a. While we were at the bank getting the paper filled out our Rep. office called, just missing us by prob 2 mins. The next morning we got the call of congrats, and then Friday we were on the announcement list. This was the first year applying and I really had no idea what i was doing, but something worked we're getting a new engine outta the deal.
