  • Closing out 2002 grant

I need help with closing out our 2002 grant. I'm trying to finish the Final Financial Status Report. I spent about $200 more in the grant than a applied. The report will not let me go over the orginal amount, I also changed the amount in the Details Information on this report to go along with the final amount. Should I just say I spent the orginal amount and explain it later or try to find out how to change the report. Thanks for all your help it this matter.

    Yes.

Just fill in the amount of the grant as the money spent. All FEMA wants to know is that you spent ALL of their money. You can explain it to them either in your close out report or when they audit you.

I had to change our share amount (up of course) since our vendor forgot to mention that the packs would cost more in 2003 due to the RIC hook-up. When I did my 6 month report I explained that and told them that we are still bidding out the cascade part of the grant.

I got a nice e-mail back that the change was approved.

    Congrats on winning the grant.
