I recieved a call, yesterday from the office of Rick Santorum and a personal call from Rep. Tim Holden to notify us that we will receive $109,694. All new PPE and SCBA.

Just to let all know I am told tommorrow will be a happy day for many departments. They plan to release 450 grant notifications. Far more than previous rounds. Good luck to everyone.

Congrats to all. Lots of PPE and SCBA awards, just what I like to see. Doesn't matter if you respond in a pedal car with an indian tank, got to have good gear and good clothes.

Of course I'd really like to see an 1199A link, but considering I'm going to the plant for the final inspection on the rescue before it goes to IAFC in Dallas and then to us, I'm not going to be greedy. I know it's un-American to not be greedy, but I will anyway.

Congrats again to everyone.

Oh, and don't forget to call and rip your Senator's a new one if they aren't voting for the extra $150mil for next year's program.

You can't. Orders can't be made until after being awarded

If you're talking about our rescue it was a 2002 award, not 2003. I meant I didn't want to appear greedy for wanting one this year after having gotten the $312K last year.

Well, we haven't gotten official notice yet from anyone but my FD is on the list of recipients of grants.

To say the least I am pleased and very excited!!!

It is a FANTASTIC DAY!!! Just got the congratulations letter from FEMA.

Time to get some new scba and a new cascade system!!
