Featured resources


Fire and EMS agencies can apply for PPE reimbursement and other related COVID-19 expenses under a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) emergency declaration.

The U.S. Fire Administration provides information on reimbursement through the FEMA Public Assistance Program. A webinar on the reimbursement process is available for you to watch. In addition, FEMA’s independent study courses can provide you with information on the Public Assistance Program.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Resources to protect the fire and EMS from COVID-19.

EMS.gov. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Office of Emergency Medical Services provides current COVID-19 information for EMS responders.

The CDC answers your questions about providing medical treatment, transport of ill patients, how you can protect yourself and others, and what steps employers of firefighter and EMS personnel should take for safe and effective COVID-19 response.
