  • 2014 AFG Awards/ High Fives All Around!

So since the Federal Eagle officially landed today and Round 1 of the award notices are in people's in boxes I thought it might be appropriate to start the new thread where you can "crow a little" about what you got and how much. As they say in NASCAR :have at it boys"!

I'll start it out here by saying that 8 of my clients were awarded $427,833 as of this morning. 5 regular awards and 3 micro grants. Congrats to them and to all others.

The next round is on me! I took Kurt's class back in December of 2012 in Urbana, Illinois. I have been successful with both operations and safety grants I have written since the class and have written four vehicle acquisition applications but we all know those are HARD to come by. With today's award announcement it brings our total received from AFG just under 100k. Its my opinion I have been truly successful with the AFG program but I have also been successful with many smaller local grants from organizations and businesses. I HIGHLY recommend Kurt's classes!

Back to the real purpose of this thread......... We received $33,728 today to purchase seven Masimo RAD-57 CO detectors for use when responding to CO poisoning calls but to also support our fire departments county wide in their rehab and medical monitoring operations on the fire ground.

No your right the link is not posted yet with this weeks award winners. It will probably be a few days before we actually get access to it as happened quite frequently last year. AFG does not control the entity that has responsibility to post the list so it gets posted when the work order hits their desk and in the order it was recieved.

Thanks Kurt! Don't understand why they haven't found a way to make this more timely with the technology we have today. Two years ago someone gave us a link on here that we could find the week's awardees about Wednesday. (I.e. Early.)... Anyone have a link to share this year????

Award list for Round 2 is posted. Lean list this week, only 45 awards. Going to need some more 1199a's it looks like or there are a lot of people that have not updated their SAM.gov information and they won't issue award unless it is current and updated. If you have not checked your SAM.gov info since you applied, you need to get in there and assure it is all still accurate and you are not being asked to update. Also be sure you have checked the box to "opt-in" on your information being "searchable publicly" if it is not, AFG tech reviewers cannot see it and ..no award! Remember the impetus to accomplish this is on you, not AFG to alert you that something is wrong. Don't let your award be passed to someone else, be sure you check especially if you have had an 1199a update ref award number posted back in March and have still not been officially notified, this may be what is holding up your award.

Well they are busy little beavers this morning. The award list is already posted for today and there are some serious regional dollars in the list.

3 more Regionals makes 6 total FR awards for me this year -- another good week!

Way to go Sly. I'm still waiting two awards from the initial 1199a drop. Already had official awards on three others.
