Are we still perking along on FP&S awards? I've not heard anything.

Received questions and 1199a reference late last night!

Got the questions (5) and a new reference number on our 199a late last night.

Ad 2 clients receive emails today with 1199a and 4 questions regarding 2010 FP&S. Things are starting to happen.

Awards for FP&S should be staring within the next 2 weeks. One of the biggest reasons that we don't see much activity is that the majority of the funding does not go to FD's, but to the larger organizations.

The award #'s for grants we received from 2003 to 2007 are listed under the 1199A for the 2003 grant. The award # for the 2010 grant for PPE was listed under 1199A for the 2010 grant. The fire prevention award reference # was not listed in either place over the weekend. The award reference # for the fire prevention grant is now there and listed with the 1199A for the 2010 PPE.

Maybe they are getting a grant for the entire $35,000,000. That would explain why no one else has seen any activity!

It would be under a prior grant's View 1199A, they probably wouldn't send a new Update 1199A link unless it's been more than 5 years or banking info changed.

FP&S Grant 2010 Questions

Yesterday, I recieved questions from FEMA Program Specialist concerning our FP&S grant for CO detectors. Only 4 questions.

1) If you are selected for a grant award, would you accept?

2) After you submitted this application, did your department have an urgent need to purchase any of the items requested in the application?

3) Did you include a grant writer’s fee in your budget?

4) For Research and Development Applicants: Do you understand that the funds can only cover expenses for up to three years and that you have to spend the funding within three years of your grant award date?
