Needing Ideas On Some Grants

Fellow firefighters. I am trying to see what grants are available for this year. Needing a grant for adding on to fire house, for equipment, apparatus, training and for fire prevention. Also looking for grant that pay between 50/50 and 90/10. But 100% would be great . I have looked on www.firegrantshelp.com and asked for some assistance from them but I wanted to see what my fellow brothers and sisters out there had to say. thanks for any input.

You will get a lot more help here than from those folks at that web page.

I remember when they called me about "helping " me to write a grant to buy a specific manufacturers equipment. I explained they can't do that- the phone got awful quiet.

Most of the programs from prior years are still in play, the main one being AFG which is opening up next month (planned mid-April) is the spot for equipment and vehicles, station is maybe HUD or USDA depending on where you're at. Dept of Commerce has a program that's 50/50 that could handle construction projects as well.

Main thing is apply for the projects to the programs that think those are the highest priority within each, otherwise the app won't be as competitive as it needs to be to get funded.
