  • 1199 question

Could somebody explain 1199's for me? I'm new to the grant scene and trying to learn as much as possible through these posts. What is an 1199? We have filled one out a few years ago and haven't done one since then. Also, curious about how people are receiving 1199's with changes or what not. Where can you find if you've receive one? Thanks for any help.

The 1199a is your Direct Deposit form. You must have one on file with the correct information for the govt to be able to transfer money directly into your department's bank account.

What everyone is talking about is logging into your online application, Find the 1199a from the first grant you had by dropping down the "action" button menu on right side of the status pages next to each grant you have filed. When you find the old 1199a look up to the top of it and if you are going to get an award this year you will see them post ( this can happen anytime) your 2010 Award number in red on top of page. That is a precursor indicative that you are in line for an award.
