Something here is not making any sense. I have been told there is still 1K apps or so to review that were going to occur during the SAFER review period in Sept. So if all the ops money is gone ( and it appears they are already exceeding what was in ops) then what the heck? Where is the money for those apps that have not been reviewed going to come from?

      Kurt,

You're looking at the wrong year (LOL). The 700-1000 applications that are being reviewed in September are for 2010; these figures are for 2009.

My understanding there are more vehicle awards coming for 2009.

Isn't the $366,150,000 the total appropriation for the federal share (maybe less a maximum of 5% for admin if memory serves)? When awards are announced, we are looking at the total project cost including the local match. So...the award total should be at least 10% above the funding limit, probably more like 14%-16% above the funding limit.

          Am i thinking right???
