They originally got the DJ in '09. I got them an Engine last year. So happy for them as their vehicles are well beyond usable life span.

From the PG:
Awards will be limited based on population protected by the applicant, as indicated below.
• Applicants who serve a jurisdiction with a population of 500,000 people or less may not receive grant funds in excess of $1,000,000 for any fiscal year.
• Applicants who serve a jurisdiction with more than 500,000, but not more than 1,000,000, people may not receive grant funds in excess of $1,750,000 for any fiscal year.
• Applicants who serve a jurisdiction of more than 1,000,000 people may not receive grant funds in excess of $2,750,000 for any fiscal year.
Regional applications, however, will be subject to their own limitation based on the total population that the regional project will serve. For example, a regional project that serves a population of fewer than 500,000 people will be limited to $1,000,000.

This is interesting. All writers will need to monitor what is happening here. If all of the programs funds are not used, where will they actually go? Out of sight, out of mind.
Makes one wonder how much of this is happening in other programs.

The assumption at this point is the extra Ops grants are at the expense of vehicle funding. With that in mind there is only $9,904,915 remaining for vehicles or Ops if that is the route the AFG is taking.
With the small amount of awards being made, I believe we maybe approaching the end of the awards for 2009. Which means the allocated funds for 2009 will not all be used; unless the remaining grants are big ticket items such as this week with an aveage of $1 million each.
