    ""Little Girl and Firefighter using their Heads ""

    Just another day in the City Camden New Jersey June 13, 2003, A little before 7pm the Fire Radio tones were go off"" Attention Squad 6"" Rescue 1 ""Batt 1,*** 810 York Street for a Rescue. assignment. As the combines were hitting the street Fire Radio came over with a update. Report of a Little Girl with her Head stuck in a Iron railing on the front porch of a home at 810 York Street. Squad 6 were first in with Captain John Merklein and Firefighters Glen Scott, FF Lamont Steagall, FF Mike Mercado, Capt Merklein reported he had a 6 year old girl with her head trapped in a Railing and have Rescue One prepare to go in service with there JAWS. Rescue One was now arriving with Captain Frank Sandrock and Firefighters Mike Labar, FF Cris Edwards ,FF Jose Berrios, FF John Broadwater and Batt Chief 1 Mo Wilson,The 6 year old girl and her mother were quite frighten, Captain Merklein keep talking to them telling them everything would be OK as Rescue 1's members were setting up. A cloth was place over the girl head as FF Labar began using the Jaws. in a few seconds the Iron railing was Cut and The little Girl was Free. Member of Camden's EMS checked her over and she was Not insured and had a Big Smile on her face. The Rescue and Sq 6 were picking there Tools and heading back to there Stations for there Late 7pm Dinner
