    Akron, NY house fire causes estimated $50,000 damage

    6/6/2003


    A fire that caused an estimated $50,000 damage at a Village of Akron home Thursday afternoon remains under investigation by the Erie County Sheriff's Department. Firefighters were dispatched to 18 Marshall Ave. shortly before 5 p.m. The fire started in a common living area on the first floor, and caused smoke and heat damage throughout the two-story residence.
