Fire in Kitchen Damages House
A kitchen fire damaged a wood home in West Lakeland on Monday morning, Lakeland fire officials said.
Two men inside the one-story home were not injured.
The fire at 1402 Edith Ave. started about 8:50 a.m. and was extinguished in about 20 minutes, said Doug Holt, a training officer with the Fire Department.
Holt said there was heavy smoke damage to the home. The State Fire Marshal's Office was investigating.
