Fellsmere attic blaze
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An attic fire at a home south of Fellsmere is not expected to displace the family living there, firefighters said Wednesday.
Indian River Fire and Rescue personnel doused the blaze at 12355 83rd St., which began about 5 p.m. Wednesday. Battalion Chief John Freeman said the fire was contained in the attic of the one-story home, with minimal damage in the base of the home.
No one was injured in the fire. Freeman said the cause of the fire had not been determined and the identity of the homeowners was not immediately available.
