Hurricane teen dies in car crash on I-15
A Hurricane teenager was killed after his car ran off the freeway, hit a boulder and overturned.
Killed was:
Michael Gubler, 17.
A truck driver notified Utah Highway Patrol dispatchers Wednesday at 7 a.m. of an overturned car on I-15 near Pintura, Washington County, according to a UHP statement.
Officers arrived to find the car overturned with Gubler inside, the statement said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators found no tire marks on the road, and the accident is still under investigation.
It appears the car ran off the right side of the road and down an embankment, where it hit a large boulder and overturned, the statement said.
