Heavy storms pounded the area Wednesday Night and Thursday Morning. During the storms a tree was downed and fell on a propane tank, shearing off the valve. Firefighters used streams to disperse vapors in the area yesterday morning as they dealt with high heat and high humidity. The leak was eventually piped out and ignited and allowed to burn off. Roads in the area remained closed during most of morning rush hour.
