These incidents occurred in Reading over the past few weeks:..
----051803: At 1337 hours box 17, 7th & South streets, AOF 667 South street @ Reading Tube Corp.. Propane powered forklift on fire inside 100x1000 industrial building. Fire brought under control at 1350 with long handline stretch into building. Companies assigned: E5,3,1,Sn1,L1,R1,M-3,C-9,E13 & *14(safety Co.) *E13 experienced mechanical problems and was unable to respond,E14 sent as new safety Co.
----052003: At 1307 hours box 323, 2nd & Washington streets, AOF rear of 127 N.Front street. Outside rubbish fire extended into 2 story brick garage. Fire brought under control at 1319 hours. Companies assigned: E3,1,5,L1,Sn1,R1,M-4,C-1 & 9,E11(safety Co.)
----052103: At 0318 hours box 25, Perkiomen Ave. & Franklin St.,AOF 140 S.12th street. 2&1/2 story MOR occupied dwelling, fire showing from the attic. Fire brought under control at 0404 hours with 1 pediatric transported with burns. Companies assigned: E13,1,3,Sn1,L1,R1,M-2,C-2 & 7,E5(safety Co.) Special call: M-1
----same date: At 1552 hours box 645, 9th & Pike streets, AOF 1021 Pike street. 2&1/2 story EOR occupied dwelling, heavy smoke showing 2nd floor. Fire brought under control at 1605 hours. Companies assigned: E9,11,1,L3,R1,M-2,C-1 & 7,E3(safety Co.)
----052303: At 0333 hours box 231, 16th St. & Perkiomen Ave.,AOF Muhlenberg & Printz streets. 1 & 2 story 10x30 frame garage with auto fully involved with minor extension to exposures 2 & 4 (1 story similar type attached). Fire brought under control with master streams at 0355 hours. Companies assigned: E13,5,1,Sn1,R1,M-2,C-3,E3(safety Co.)
----052803: At 0950 hours box 48, 13th & Green streets, AOF 414 N.13th street. 3 story MOR occupied dwelling, fire @ 1st floor kitchen. Fire brought under control at 1006 with 1 civilian transported with burns. Companies assigned: E9,3,11,L3,R1,M-1,C-1 & 6,E5(safety Co.)
----053103: *****MVA PIN-JOB******* At 1744 hours, rescue assignment dispatched to 5th & Douglass streets for a MVA. Companies arrived to find a 2 vehicle accident with 2 injured civilians, 1 of them pinned. Additional medic unit special called at 1746 hours, with victim extricated with jaws at 1759 hours. Both injured transported to local medical centers. Companies assigned: E11,R1,M-2,C-2. special call: M-1
