According to information posted in today's St. Petersburg Times State & Metro Section at least 32 people have died as a result of accidents on Florida Highways so far, exceeding the number for 2002.
State Police spokesperson Lt. Bill Leeper estimates the number will rise due to those seriously injured that still remain in area hospitals.
Only one death was a pedistrian and 4 were related to motorcylists, two of whom were "enjoying" Florida's No Helmet Requirement.
