Man killed after van goes over barrier on I-15
One person was killed Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 15.
Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Todd Johnson said the accident occurred near mile marker 273 at about 2000 North in Orem. The accident involved a semi-trailer and two passenger vehicles traveling north, but investigators are still unsure how the accident happened.
As a result of that accident, a white full-size van lost control and went over the jersey barrier, landing on its rood on the left shoulder of Geneva Road below. The 47-year-old male driver of the van was killed.
Johnson said he does not believe anyone else was injured in the accident.
At least one northbound lane on I-15 and one southbound lane on Geneva Road are still closed while crews clean up the wreck.
