I've been following some threads on here and it sounds like the hiring process for Metro is a little complex and odds of actually getting a position are very slim no matter what your agility time or testing scores may be? My agility test was 1 min 52 sec (not sure how that holds up) and I test in October.
How many current recruits have National EMT cert and how big of a factor may that play?? Also, how many current Metro fire "references" will one need to climb "the ladder" as I feel politics may play a huge role in getting hired? Thanks all! New guy here and just trying to get my hands on some good advice from those who know
