City of Newburgh gave a test early last year I think. I took it and placed 29 on the list. From what I'm told by a Lieutenant from the city, they are just now calling for the "out of city" list, and he advises me that its highly unlikely I'll be called from this list. They have 4 lists. One spanish speaking, city resident list, then a spanish speaking, non-city resident list. Then a non-spanish speaking, city list, and last a non-spanish speaking, non city resident list.

Across the River
Newburgh is a good job, VERY busy. I am on the job across the river in the City of Beacon. My station house is right on the river and I watch that city burn up buildings all the time. Good luck with getting the job and if you get it, stay safe as always....Jason
