Anyone know the requirements/how they hire/when they hire? I have searched the NJDEP and DOP sites with no luck. Thanks.

The application period for the test may have already passed, a call to the state DOP would be the first stop. -

I think your best bet would be to vist your local Fire warden and ask him/her. What part of NJ are you in?
(He's looking into the New Jersey Forest Fire Service I believe, NJFFS)
