Trying to get into Camden

Hey im 23 years old. Im lookin for any advice about camden. Um i have been reading alot lately and the process i know i just sent in my app for camden and i will be takin the test late dec/early jan. After that whats extacly happens. They would call me based on my score and would offer me a job on the hopes that i would go through acdamey correct? And 2ndly does anyone know how hard it is to get into camden. Cause im orignally from cherry hill and i heard its damn near impossible to get in. Any advice or tips would be great. I have started running and all of that. Im gettin a personnal trainer and the whole nine. I really want this to be my future my carreer and my love lol. Thanks

First off if your that set on Camden City, get an apartment within the city limits and live there... the FD has officers that go out and check that.. other then that from what I've seen and taught at the fire academy you shouldn't have a problem.


Did I say get and aparment in the city? not an address that mail is sent to, some place you can live.

Yea i have to different places. Im not goin to be there all the time but i will be there most of the time. But besides that it isn't a extremly hard deptmarment to get into? Like cherry hill i know is.

I know a few poeple that appiled and got in and it's not hard to as long as you study for the written don't get to hype'd about the phyical test.... I did the Cherry Hill a few years ago and I can say I'm not the best in shape or was at the time, but I did pretty good placed in the top 10 of the out-of-town people. It's more of a endurance and coordination test, the weighter type didn't do too well.

Oh getting EMT cert. is a big plus also.

OK cool. What you mean weighter like fat? Im a big guy not fat but im big enough im mean im like 6 ft. 230 or so. But im gettin in shape eatin right and all. And yea i heard camden is hiring 30 people off this next test
