This is an "awareness level" course designed to increase your effectiveness in responding to WMD incidents involving energetic materials. You should be able to understand the terrorists threat, including potential targets and likely terrorist tactics in your community; be capable of identifying potential explosive materials and explosive devices; and be prepared to employ effective and safe procedures consistent with your department or agency policies in response to a bombing incident.
