Across the river about 20-30 miles from myself and 80Fire, an entire town has been evacuated because of a 15,000 GALLON Propane tank leak. Beside the leaking tank is ANOTHER 15,000 GALLON tank!!! To make matters worse, it is leaking both liquid and vapor, and they cannot stop it. The plan is to "let all the vapor escape and control burn the rest." To all of you who have been at a Live LP Burn, you know that if the liquid is leaking, that means the entire tank will empty out and all that will turn into vapor. I can't remember the expansion ratio of liquid to vapor or the combustion point. Regardless, I can't see this one ending on a good note.
I forgot to mention; the tank is in the MIDDLE of the town. One word comes to mind: Hiroshima!
