MAYDAY RESPONSE
MABAS DIVISION 20

In the event a MAYDAY is requested on the fireground the following procedures will be completed.

• IC to remain in command post
  IC to clear FIREGROUND CHANNEL
  RIT Chief to remain in command of RESCUE
  ISO to assist with MAYDAY
  Escalate the incident by 1 level (Box to 2-11)
  Assign 2nd RIT
  Assign ALS Ambulance to RIT
  Request 2 additional ALS Ambulances
  Request Tech Rescue Box
  Request 2nd Safety Officer
  Air Cascade Unit
  Light Unit
  IC to conduct PAR and assign Accountability Officer
  IC to consider moving fire ground activities to different Fireground Channel (RED to WHITE)
  IC to assign 2nd RIT for continuing fire ground operations
  IC to maintain control of fireground to prevent freelancing during rescue operations
  IC to reevaluate incident ACTION PLAN as needed
  IC to consider assigning PIO
