Has anyone who is still testing with them heard anything about about interviews yet? Or know when about we should hear? All I remeber is during the Psych eval that it was going to be sometime after Thanksgiving

Everything I've heard from folks testing is that they were advised that they wouldn't hear anything now until late Decemeber or January.
Not sure what happened, but a wrench got thrown into the process somewhere.

From what we have been hearing out on the company, interviews should be sometime in late December/early January. This is not official, but it is the best that I can give you at this time.
We should be looking to hire 8-12 FF's in late February/early March.

hmm, I heard letters were sent to everyone earlier this week, I havent seen one so I wonder if that was just a rumor or if mine didnt make it to me for some reason.Comment

Got my letter today for an interview.
It said they were only looking to hire a few over the next couple years? Is that going to be right away? Or total off the list? RFD? You have any idea?Comment

I am still going with 8-12 this year in March. I know for sure that we lost a couple of people this year to other departments, a couple pensioned off with injuries, and 3 or 4 retired. I guess we will see in March. Good luck with the interview!

Will they likely have 2 academies of this list? Such as the 8-12 you suggested and then another say spring 08'?
And where did the firefighters go to that left Rockford for another department? Can't imagine myself leaving there if I got hired! haha!

Our academies are always either March 1 or April 1. They will run 2 academies (one in 07 and one in 08) if their are enough openings.
One person left for Madison and another left for a job as a nurse in Madison.
