Engine Specs

We have decided to ask for a new engine in next years AFG. I have never spec'd out an engine before. Is there any info online that will help us in the process of getting ready?

Contact three or four apparatus dealers and give them a basic idea of what you want (Custom or commercial, pump size, tank size,ladder storage,body construction, foam system,etc) and they can provide you with a baseline set of specs and maybe a stock drawing. Look over the specs and see what you like or dislike, ask questions. You may find one companies specs are exactly what you are asking for or you may take parts of this one and parts of each one to write your own specs. A good dealer can assist you through the whole process.
