New Member here just curious if anyone is around from southern Illinois.......I am a member of the Williamson County Fire Protection District.......shout out if anyone is around

I know where you guys are at. You're the ones with 4 or 5 stations and 15 or so trucks and a lot of firefighters. Welcome to the forums and like Jaybird said, you'll read a lot of good stuff on here. Well, some good stuff and some trash, but it's all worth reading. I'm in DuBois, part of the Ashley Fire District, Washington County, just 40 or so miles North of Williamson county.

Welcome to the Illinois forums. Always nice to get a fresh perspective. Career and volunteer come here and peacefully co-mingle.
We are located in Clover Township. That is about 150 miles south of Chicago. Does that put me in southern Illinois? Well, we are actually in central Illinois, but we are south of Chicago!
Don't hesitate to ask questions. I might not be able to answer them, but darn it, it sure is fun to read the questions.

I have you in southern New England; migrating down the Sagamon River to Springfield, Il where the state's tourism and guest center is located. While there, take in the Illinois Firefighter memorial; undoubtedly the best in the nation. You can also get a kick out of Route 66!
