Hope everyone stays safe, its gonna be 110 with the heat index today. Anyone wanna go fight a barn fire or something? I am sitting inside here sweating just thinking about heading out and working for the city today.

Yesterday, the little lady and I went for a bike ride. It was like sitting on a furnace. Drank lots of water.
Then, we came home and decided to go play a quick round of golf. I took three showers yesterday.
Today, got up and played in our club's flighted men's championship. Man, was it hot.
Got to the clubhouse and the power went out.
Have been home since and have no desire to go out until I go to work tomorrow.
I am seriously thinking about getting a pool; even if I have to blow it up.
    Stay cool everyone. And re-hydrate.

Sure you'll be busy, STAY SAFE AND STAY COOL!

We broke records that stood since 1913 during our heatwave, but today it is much much cooler. Still a nice summer day, but the high is only supposed to be arouond 20C.

I am working "Black" shift in Rockford, give me some available dates in September.

    Joel:

Unfortunately, Saturday is my day to man the store in Amboy, so I will be unable to play in Stillman's Outing. I will be playing in the Rockford Outing on August 1st at Prairie View in Byron. Are any North Park guys coming down for that playday?

    Stay safe,

You should really golf close to home more... If you need someone to golf with, let me know. I may not be any good, but I can still have fun. Chief likes to golf too...

You going to Stillman's outing the 29th?

Bliss Creek (or, The Golf Course Formerly Known As Prestbury) ain't too bad. It can be kinda swampy, and it's not real unforgiving for us lousy duffers. (No comments, please, Art! ) We should plan a get-together some time. My buddy Larry has a friend that just retired from RFD. You'd like him.

    Storm update

National Weather Service has said that 2 F0 tornados hit Clinton County and one F0 tornado hit Washington County. Power still out in parts of Mt. Vernon. Clinton County has been declared a state disaster area. DJ, not sure if Jefferson County has been designated. Everyone agrees that it's a miracle no one was seriously hurt or killed.

"Exclusive" doesn't quite accurately describe Rich Harvest Farms. I've only heard stories. It's actually east of me by about 5 or 6 miles.

How'd you manage to score a round there? I am insanely jealous!

P.S. Jack, glad to hear youse guys are getting back to normal. I didn't realise things were that bad down there!

I was in your neck of the woods on Friday. I played a course a few miles southeast of Hinkley called Rich Harvest Farms. This course was a beautiful track and I believe they only have around (30) members. The course was very challenging. We played the Gold Tees and it played around 7100 yards and I think the tips were around 7800 yards. Have you ever played this course?
