Good Luck. My one friend that worked with DOF sometime back worked as a Ranger for awhile in one of the stations. He liked that. I have another friend that is a ranger in the Crawfordville area. They send him all over the place to fight fire.

Thanks Gator. I checked the state jobs website and there are a few postings on there for Div.of Forestry. Looks like you need FF1 and a drivers license and must obtain CDL in 3 months. Pay didn't seem too bad.

I'm going to try and visit a station and get more information.

    Appreciate the reply.

I have some good friends that work there. They work Mon - Fri working 8 or 10 hr shifts. During the week they do all kinds of things. My friend that worked out of the Apalachicola station worked in Tats Hell clearing roads most of the time and preparing for burns. I am not sure what the qualification are. I know they sent him to school and got him, his Class CDL's.

    FL. Div of Forestry Questions

I was wondering if anyone worked or knows people who work for the FL Divison of Forestry? What exactly do they do on a daily basis and do they work a 24on/48off like most FD? I Also wondered what standards are needed to join.

    Appreciate the feedback.
