Fire departments share station to improve response
(Angola-AP) -- A brand new fire station has some Sussex County
residents feeling a little safer.
The Lewes and Rehoboth Beach Fire Departments dedicated Station
Three this weekend.
Both departments say the station off Route 24 in Angola will
help improve emergency response times in the area.
The new building has six pieces of fire and rescue equipment. It
also contains a living area for volunteers from both departments.
The two companies will each pay half the costs and provide half
the personnel. The new station cost just over one (m) million
dollars.
