  • Lack of interest?

I know it is not as exciting as lights on POV's--Leather helmets instead of the other sort. But you may be enticed away from these enthralling subjects by the fact that American SAR's are assisting in getting out 160 bodies-likely to rise above 240--2 of which are yanks.

Japanese/Taiwanese/Chinese/British/Aussie/Singapore/ USAR teams have worked tirelessly since the Chistchurch Eathquake.

Now go back to the "I have 3 drug charges --2 theft charges can I get in the job"thread.

For a small country this event would easily equate to 9/11

Thoughts and prayers have been headed your way since last week Brother!!

I guess being in the neighbourhood helps!

Looks like we are all in for the long haul but then again it's the ANZAC spirit that makes us stronger.

I thank you for the prayers and wishes. Heard yesterday the 20 bodies they had expected to find in what was left of the cathedral-the SAR's team found none. This means of course that they are not safe, just that they are somewhere else under this ruined city.

With our coverage on TV there is a very haunting song by Bruce Springstein played in the back ground "My city is in ruins" very touching, very apt.

Personal level, my nephew who is a cop in Melbourne is on the second rotation to relieve the present contingent. My mate who is a drainlayer up here in Auckland will be sent down shortly with his firm.

I am a London boy and the nearest thing to this earthquake I have experienced and can relate to is the Blitz which I had the doubtful pleasure of going thru as a kid.
