    The courts mostly. You should be able to show that your test has been "validated", that is, that the test is appropriate to the expected job responsibilities and description/performance.

    If you reject a candidate based upon their performance on the physical agility test and the test was composed of 100 pullups, you should be able to show that the function of raising your body 100 times in some way correlates to the expected physical activity of firefighting.

    There are a number of tests that have pretty well been established and court tested as acceptable.

    Who or what regulates the standards and administration of the physical fitness test taken by prospective firefighters? I would appreciate any info. thanks
