Note to PG Forum Posters
Just a quick note to those who have posted in the PG Forums primarily.
If you post a message acting as a specific individual and you are NOT that individual, that is breaking not only the terms of service of these forums, but the law as well.
On Monday, someone registered and posted a message acting as a high ranking member of the county fire service. Due to the nature of the message of course, it was obvious the poster was not the same individual.
However, assuming someone else's identity, in jest or not, is illegal.
Violations will not just result simply in a thread being closed and deleted, but the user's IP address being logged and their Internet Provider contacted to ensure this type of activity does not continue.
