  • If you could be an exchange firefighter, where would you go? (Out of the US)

If you had the chance to be a firefighter for a couple of weeks in any city or country in the world, besides the USA, where would you go? Pick a couple of places, and say why you would go there.

My choices, Ireland, Austrailia, and St. Petersburg, Russia.

Ireland, because I'm half Mic, Austrailia, because I think it would be neat to see how they do it down under. (Plus I'd like to see a fire engine with a stearing wheel on the wrong side of the cab!) St. Petersburg, because I've always wanted to go to Russia.

I do have a little Irish in the mix, so Ireland would be an interesting choice. Australia would also be great, in fact I've often wondered what my chance would be of getting hired if I were to apply to a major department in say Sydney or
    Melbourne...

      Australia, no doubt about it.

Always wanted to go there. Doing what I love while there would make the whole thing come together.

If givin the chance I'd go to England or Austrailia. I'd pick England because, I think it would be interesting to fight fires in a place where royalty are still very important part of the cultar. It would also be nice to check out how there trucks differ from the ones in the USA.
Austrailia would just be an awsome place to see how they fight fires. It would be great to talk shop with people of different parts of the world. It would be great upportunity to get a different view of things. It would provide a new out look on things.

London or Glasgow. Both are big, busy departments. You would be surprised at the number of multi-alarmers in the UK. The rigs are very ergonomic and laid out with common sense in mind. The underground hydrant system would be interesting to see.

Liverpool, Merseyside Station. One of the oldest and busiest stations in the UK.

Hmmmm.... Most of us would like to go "across the pond" or "down under."

                  Anywhere else?

If I participated in an exchange program I would like to go to Australia. I've always wanted to go there to see the great coral reef and the outback. Plus the weather has got to be better than that here in Ohio.

It would be a toss up for these three places, Rio De Janeiro, Puerto Rico, and Cabo San Lucas Mexico
                          For the women no doubt!
