personal equipment, IE scott masks,pass alarms,handlights

im wondering what other departments have as far as pass alarms, scott mask, handlights...does everyone get there own personal mask and pass device, in my department only a few have there own mask (thankfully im one of them) and pass devices are attached to scott racks...and the only way you get your own handlight is if you buy it.

My current department and the last department I worked for (which had a total staff of <30) both issue individual face pieces. A lot of departments are now also issuing second stage regulators with quick connect hoses. PASS alarms should be integrated into every SCBA harness, preferably integrated into the SCBA itself so that going "on air" initiates the PASS. My current department issues a helmet-mounted flashlight and has LiteBoxes mounted in the rigs, but I like to carry Super Sabres (personal purchase) for my backup light.

We are issued a Streamlight whatever(used to be Black and Decker's Sunlance). Our pass Devices are intergrated into our Scotts. Some individuals have their own face pieces, but most use the ones on the truck now.

The department tries to maintain two good sets of gear(one for each station), and are association just bought us a third for our POV.

Both of my depts does issues you a facepiece. Glenburn fire dept uses the MSA MMR2 and Hudson Fire dept issues Scott. I myself have a my own Scott 4.5 in my truck. This way when I get one scene I don't have to worry about going to the truck in all the paks are gone. As for all the pass devices and on the paks themselves. We carry Lightboxes and Sho-Me lights on the truck. Alot of us have the Survivor light on our coats.

In my dept, we don't have the money to buy such equipment for each member. Would be nice, though. We have a mask on the truck with each SCBA, and if anyone wants to purchase their own, that's fine, but right now no one has to my knowledge. Unfortunately we don't have a PASS for every air pack, 5 of 6 on 1st out truck do. It's in the works, but money is tight. We have 4 light boxes on 1st out truck, but if anyone wants to buy another light, that's good also, I have super saber light in my gear, and a Mag Lite in POV.

My dept just placed new Scott 4.5's in service w/ intergrated PASS. We also issued fit tested every F/F and issued each their own personal mask and mask bag. Each chief is also issued his own SCBA.

We are issued individual masks that are fit tested, and are provided with glasses inserts at department cost, if needed.
Our PASS alarms are attached to our coats.
We are issued a Streamlight flashlight and the Engines have 3 LiteBoxes mounted in them.
