Found this LFB Tribute Video on Youtube...I like it anyway!!!

Apart from the old photos all seem to be from the last three years, I sweated through a few of them or spent a long night there.

I'll say...and then some....Organised Firefighting is first recorded in 'Londinium' in 12ad...when the Romans stopped by....then again in the 1200's and now unbroken since the little incident in 1666.

My lot came about in 1865 when all the private, Parish & Insurance briagdes amalgamated... the same year as FDNY was officially born spookily enough.

        Excellent video!

I especially liked the "Rainbow in the smoke" photo.

        Stay safe over there!

Gotta agree....I'd have thought I was watching some US department, if it weren't for the funky helmets

Great video, Steve, thanks for sharing.....

My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."
