just as a side note...

Here in the fire service I would say on the rigs we have Leaders. The managers sit in offices and do the hiring and firing.

Having been called to a second go around with the Navy, I would not take any leadership examples from the Navy. Not going to sit here and vent about it, as it would take all night. All I know is, I should never have stayed in the Reserves.

We are no longer part of the military, but part of the corpoate stucture of the government. It was sad watching Presidents Fords funeral coverage. Hell, the Cub Scouts looked sharper in their uniforms than the Navy did (Every sailor that you saw had that unathorized roll on the top of their white hat, big Reg no-no).

One gripe I have with the navy is 98% of all recruiting commercials have something to do with the SEALS. Yet, the seals are may comprise 0.25% of the navy's total personnel.


Navy Leadership is good in certain areas, forthright battle leadership is only seen in the SEAL groups, CB's, and EOD.
