Breaking News: Restaurant fire in Fairview Heights

(KMOV) -- News 4 has a crew on the scene of a restaurant fire in Fairview Heights, IL.
The Pasta House restaurant just outside of the St. Clair Square Mall caught fire around 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
According to Pasta House employess, they began to smell something burning around 5:00 p.m. They checked the restaurant, but saw no sign of fire. Then around 6:30 p.m. someone saw sparks in the ceiling.
They evacuated the restaurant which was nearly full. As customers and employees were leaving, the restaurant filled with smoke.
Soon after the building was engulfed in flames.
The restaurant has been in Fairview Heights since 1984.
No word yet on any injuries or the cause of the fire.
