Building contruction books or web page?

Well going through the academy and have decided building construction is defintely a weakness. Does anyone know of any web page or a good book that i can use to better myself on this subject?

The late Frank Brannigan's book -- Building Construction for the Fire Service

New one comes out in April (it was in the works before he passed), but you can probably find the current edition around:

Without a doubt, the Brannigan book is my first choice, but I'd also suggest a DIY build-or-remodel-your-own-home book. While they are not geared toward firefighting per se, they are usually very well illustrated guides to lightweight wood costruction.

I thought that Collaspe of Burning Buildings, but Chief Dunn was a pretty good read as well. I know I have learned a lot from it.

I was just ready to post about this... I've heard that Brannigan's 1st edition was very easy to read and understand, but the next 2 were "above college level" reading.. Any word on the new 4th edition coming out?
