We now know the official cause of death for a teen who was found dead in a Montgomery County Kentucky
home two weeks ago.
The coroner's report says 16 year old Christina Woods was strangled to death.
Her nude body was found in a house that had been set on fire. Her stepfather, Michael Neace was charged with arson in the case.
Neace appeared before a grand jury today. On Monday, Neace was arraigned on first-degree arson charges.
During the court appearance, we learned more of the gruesome details of what happened the night of December 29th.
According to court documents, police say he had stab wounds to his neck and chest and there were trails of blood in the back room of the house. That's where they found Woods dead, lying on the bed.
According to investigators, they found evidence that an accelerant had been used around the bed and in and around the bedroom.
Police say they also found traces of an accelerant on Neace's boots.
Neace has been denied bail.
