  • He's On Da' Job

As I said I would, in another thread, I did call the Marlborough Fire Department this morning to make sure that the new Deputy Chief made it in, and had everything under control. I'm pleased to report that he did and he does. CONGRATS. BRO.

So, CHIEF Gonzo, when will you begin instituting all the "forward thinking safety oriented "changes that have been suggested on these boards? I presume the FF's on your shift will soon be:

*Wearing two pairs of pants under their long coats & 3/4 boots (or will they
be commando like our brothers up north...EHHH...under their new Janesville
bunker gear...piggybacked off Chicago's order of course)

*Wearing two hoods to prevent any heat whatsoever from reaching the FF's
          body...

*Mounting helmet cams so the rest of the world can see how good your
jakes really are...just make sure they're hands free so they can have both
hands free (one to turn off the SCBA of the nozzleman in front of them and
          the other to throw punches)...

Of course, I'm JOKING...everyone lighten up...this is where I seriously say CONGRATULATIONS on your promotion and may you enjoy your new position.

Just my 2 cents (hey, it's cheaper being a line grunt)...Stay Safe...
