I understand you angst lou, but finding a guy in a barren place with no infastructure is alot harder than finding an established leader in an industrial country. Apples and oranges actually.....but please understand that we have our best looking for UBL.
Our soldiers are giving their lives in Afghanistan, so one would assume (hope) that their sacrifice is directly related to the quest to find Osama.
You would hope, but even the Canadian leadership in-country is saying that there are not nearly enough resources to stabilize the place, let alone find Bin Laden. And to make it worse, the f-n Pakistani's have all but given up helping search, or even control their tribal regions where we know the little ba$tard is holed up.
Our pleas for more assistance from the EU have fell on deaf ears, and I have little hope of finding Osama while the US is tied up in Iraq. The majority of our "allies" in Afghanistan are to afraid too leave their friggin bases right now, let alone get anything useful done.
I don't know if you can tell, but it ****es me off a little.
Geez, now we've gone and killed the only guy that could keep all of Iraq together and keep Al Queda out.. what are we going to do next, execute James Baker
And I'm sorry, imho the chick from 'The View' & 'Survivor' would be the first against the wall, sure she's eye candy compared to the rest, but between her voice and her incredibly stupid & naive opinions (beliefs).. sheesh (or could I be taking daytime TV way too seriously)

True, the SF community isn't designed or large enough to control territory. As soon as they leave an area, it falls back into AQ hands. Also, Canadian, UK and US troops seem to be the only ones going beyond thier bases. The French sit tight, and will be removing thier "SF" teams soon. Every other country really haven't sent or plan to sent much in the way of Offensive forces. Mostly supply/logistic and other support types.
