Genius has its limits, but stupidity is boundless.
Man, that just makes me sick to my stomach. I hope the lad isn't too badly injured. Kids are supposed to do stupid things, as parents we can only hope that they don't have to pay for it too dearly.
If you do a search on youtube.com for gasoline fire, you would see all types of idiots.
The current trend is to do something stupid (part of growing up), record it and then post it on the Internet. Last year, we caught three kids starting fires in town and posting them on their myspace web site. They not only identified themselves but gave detailed information as to where they were lighting the fires. Sample transcript: Hi, this is Bob (closeup on Bob's face) with Steve and Jim (again with closeups). We are in the playground at ABC school (zoom in on school name on side of the building) and today we are making Molotov cocktails.
The Fire Marshal met with the kids and their parents. Of course the kids denied any such video existed (they had already deleted them from myspace). Imagine their surprise when the FM popped a CD in the computer with the videos I downloaded from their page.
